This is one of my favorite Jack Johnsons but I'm not sure why exactly. Is the dragon at the top intentional. Probably, in my opinion. Clicking on the photo will enlarge it.

Boy and His Dog - Jack Johnson
There used to be an obvious drawing of a boy and his dog but the lines seem to have disappeared - before I tried to capture it in a photo. Perhaps you can still make them out. I cannot. I would really like Jack to re-do this because I thought of it as a painting of me. Clicking on photo will enlarge it.
Reverend Ike - Jack Johnson
When I was a child there was a hell fire spitting minister on TV in the Detroit area named Ike or something like that. I've always wondered if this painting is of that famous (perhaps infamous) preacher. From what I remember, it would fit. I would love to find out if there is a connection. Clicking on photos will enlarge them.
King - Jack Johnson
I especially love Jack's paintings with writing on them. The paintings came without names so I've taken the great and hopefully forgivable liberty of assigning names for them myself. Clicking on the photo will enlarge it.
Post Dated Check - Jack Johnson
I think this might be the first painting of Jack Johnson's that found its way into my head and home. I suspect the time has run out on actually cashing in the check. I'm fairly sure I wouldn't want to regardless. Clicking on the photo will enlarge it.
Reversible - Jack Johnson
I don't know if this was planned or just a happy fun coincidence. The painting can be hung in the first way or upside down. Both are possible. Clicking on the photo will enlarge it.
Use your imagination a bit and I think you can see
the lady in this view as well as in the upper photo.
The Ninja Sheriff - Jack Johnson
For several years this piece painted on wood was in my garage, unframed and leaning against the wall. Now framed it hangs in my bedroom. I think the frame gives this work more importance. Clicking on photos will enlarge them slightly.
Jack Johnson - Artist
A few years ago I "discovered" the artist Jack Johnson and feel in love with his quirky and fun art. I have never actually met him BUT since I first found his art I have been able to add a few more pieces. I share them with everyone.
I no longer know which piece I first discovered - that information is lost in the convolutions of my cerebrum.
I do know the last piece which I found through my friend Bryant Tillman. This small piece is 10" x 20". Clicking on the photo will slightly enlarge it.
